About the Date Calculator
A date calculator computes the exact duration between two dates — ideal for planning projects, tracking deadlines, counting down to events, or calculating ages. Our tool shows the difference in multiple formats simultaneously: years, months, and days; total months and days; total weeks and days; and total days. This flexibility makes it useful for everything from vacation planning to contract duration calculations.
Choose between two modes: Days From Date To Today calculates how far a specific date (past or future) is from the current day, while Between Two Dates finds the duration between any two dates you choose. All calculations account for varying month lengths and leap years automatically. Results update live as you type and you can save calculations with custom labels for later reference.
Date math can be surprisingly complex due to leap years, varying month lengths (28–31 days), and historical calendar changes. Our calculator uses standard JavaScript date handling, which is reliable for dates after 1900. For critical applications like legal deadlines or medical scheduling, always verify results independently.
